Eric Gagne Is Fine

Eric Gagne, who has been sidelined with a sprained knee, threw a scoreless inning yesterday and made it clear that he'll be ready to go on Opening Day.

Gagne made his first appearance since the injury on Monday, 3/21, and was clearly bothered by the knee, hopping after each pitch. He looked fine yesterday, however, and later stated that "It was a lot better. I found my comfort zone." Gagne estimated that his knee was at approximately 75 percent.

Joe Borowski Sidelined With Broken Wrist

Joe Borowski reportedly took a line drive to the wrist on his pitching hand, and will miss up to two months. We'll have more shortly.

UPDATE: 12:27 PM: Looks like it's a hairline fracture to JoBo's wrist, and he'll only miss 6 weeks. Which means that the Cubs will probably hold off on acquiring another closer via trade.
